Co-Sheltering on the
WEST COAST

A West Coast Working Group has launched to support leaders and champions working to keep pets with their people on the Western Coast of the United States. This group is born out of the merging of two active working groups in the Co-Sheltering Collaborative, LA and Seattle / Puget Sound, to expand the network of support and learning for co-sheltering in this region.

This working group will offer networking, support, and the sharing of ideas, strategies, resources, and more. Additionally, this working group offers the opportunity to collaboratively work towards goals determined by the working group, to advance the work of co-sheltering and supporting people with pets experiencing challenges and crisis in California, Oregon and Washington.

As this working group grows, there will be the opportunity to join local breakout groups like Southern California and Washington. These breakout groups allow local communities to connect and troubleshoot while also learning from the broader region.

Currently co-chaired by volunteers in California and Washington, this group seeks to grow in people power to change systems on the West Coast.
