My Dog Is My Home is welcoming volunteers with diverse interests and backgrounds to join our 2023 Co-Sheltering Conference team. Volunteers will be assigned tasks related to the committee of their choosing: program, outreach, sponsorships, or marketing. Organizing is done remotely, so regular access to a computer and email is important. While volunteers can work flexible hours, we encourage them to attend our 1 hour planning meetings on Tuesdays, if possible. Please email Christine@mydogismyhome.org if you are interested in volunteering.

In MEMBER INTRODUCTIONS
Dear Co-Sheltering Collaborative Members, We are grateful for the opportunity to work with you! This forum is a wonderful space in which we can learn more about each other. Feel free to share something about yourself in the conversation below (e.g. about your background, your hopes, or your interests). For fun, here are a few questions to get you started. (You may answer one, none, or as many as you like.) What does a perfect day look like for you? What superpower would you want to have (invisibility, flight, speed, etc.)? What fictional world or place would you like to visit? If you could instantly become an expert in something, what would it be? We look forward to reading your responses! You are invited to My Dog Is My Home's first in-person, regional Co-Sheltering Collaborative open house on Friday, August 5 at GRACE Marketplace in Gainesville, Florida from 1 PM to 4 PM. GRACE’s mission is to end homelessness by providing safe shelter, effective services, and permanent housing solutions. We will be touring GRACE’s Co-Sheltering & Animal Welfare program, hearing from GRACE about their policies and procedures, and listening to shelter residents, all with the goal of building a regional network of providers that can support each other through the various phases of co-sheltering. We'd be honored to have your attendance and support. Please RSVP to Sarah Hernandez at SarahH@mydogismyhome.org by Friday, July 22 and feel free to reach out to her with any questions. Spaces are limited and we will be following a COVID safety plan. It’d be wonderful if you could share our invitation and flyer with colleagues who might be interested in attending. Our open houses are made possible by the generous support of Maddie's Fund®, #ThanksToMaddie.
